80% on the way...to starting the Arcade Panel...

I’ve finally amassed all the tools, supplies, wire, etc to begin planning on starting the Arcade Panel wiring project.

The Final Version of the Arcade Panel Artwork.

The Final Version of the Arcade Panel Artwork.

My original artwork for the panel has been submitted and (hopefully) received by the printer. Additionally all my wire splicing/connecting supplies have arrived. I went with both crimp and heat-shrink butt connectors and solder in place heat-shrink sleeves. I’ll be doing some experimental test connecting to see which works best.

Electronics-wise all I need is for the LEDs for the buttons to arrive. Not two seconds ago I received an email alert that they just shipped out so I should be able to start wiring up the panel this week. In the meantime I’ll be watching videos and reading as much as I can on what I need to know to connect and the program the buttons…

Work Continues on Control Panel and More

Hiya!

Been busy on this website behind the scenes. Just added the “Hobby and Gaming” section. Working hard on another section that will focus on a step-by-step documentation of a decor project I did a while back to dress a local game store for a Magic the Gathering Prerelease event.

In what spare time I have to do hobby stuff I’ve been prepping and painting an arcade panel made of sanded, unfinished birch from Monster Arcades. I’m a long way off from wiring up all the buttons, it’s still too early in the project to even install them, but I’m enjoying seeing the change in the panel as I polyurethane and paint it.

Likely to be a busy week on this site. Be sure to check back again midweek for another Blog entry and some more new content on the site.

Artist Trading Card Gallery and new additions to Traditional Media!

Hello everyone! Hope people are staying safe and sane out there amidst the Corona Virus event.

I added a New Gallery! It’s called Artist Trading Cards and it features the tiny 2.5 x 3.5 inch creations I’ve made, and in some cases, traded away. ATC (Artist Trading Cards) are a popular thing in the local Fort Myers Art scene.

The Traditional Media Gallery also has a few new works added to it.

I’m adding a whole new section, outside of the “Work” directory, to the site very soon. (It goes live Monday June 8th!) Expect a lot of creative game related content.
